What effect will my implants have on my pregnancy or during breast feeding?

Model

This is more of a matter of how will your pregnancy and breast feeding affect your breast  augmentation that the other way around. A pregnancy will have no effect on the integrity of the implants; what is affected is your breast tissue. Your breast tissue will enlarge due to lactation during and after your pregnancy which will in turn stretch out your skin. When milk production stops your breast tissue will shrink back to normal size, but your skin may not causing your breast to sag and may result in the need for a breast lift. Also your implants will not have any effect on your breast feeding, the implants used at PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery are FDA approve and perfectly safe to breast feed with.

After you are done lactating that is when you will notice if there was any affect on your augmentation. If your skin has lost elasticity you may end up with saggy breast, in which case a larger implant or a mastopexy may be the resolution to this issue. If you have recently stopped breast feeding and are concerned about the state of your breast augmentation feel free to call PREMIERE Center Tampa or PREMIERE Center Miami to schedule a complimentary consultation with one of our board certified plastic surgeons to discuss your options!
