Seven hours seems rather long to me. I rarely work for more than five hours and if more than that the surgery took longer than expected. The risk is higher for more complications to occur after five hours. Although most patients will survive seven hours without any complications, you are having elective cosmetic surgery so any complication is not worth the extra time.
