PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery provides Breast Reductions to patients from Miami, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Fort Lauderdale and surrounding areas.
Breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure for women plagued by abnormally large or sagging breasts. The surgery reduces the size of the breast by removing fat, glandular tissue and skin. The breast is then reconstructed to be smaller, firmer and more aesthetically pleasing. At PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Miami and Tampa Bay, our doctors have performed thousands of safe and affordable breast reduction procedures for over 15 years.
Extremely large breasts make it difficult for a woman to exercise and find properly fitted clothing. In some cases, a big bust may cause a woman to be self-conscious about her appearance. Breast reduction helps relieve back, neck and shoulder pain and can also help minimize skin abrasions and chafing from pendulous and/or heavy breasts.
How is a Breast Reduction Performed?
The plastic surgeons at PREMIERE's Miami and Tampa Bay sites will help you select a breast size and shape depending on your anatomy and/or preferences. The procedure starts with incisions around the areola, down the breast and under the breast in the crease. Your doctor will reduce, lift and shape the underlying tissue. Sometimes, if the breasts are extremely large and pendulous, the nipple and areola may need to be removed and transplanted to a higher position.
Breast reduction is a three- to five-hour procedure, with minimal post-operative discomfort. The operation is done on an outpatient basis, in the privacy and comfort of our fully accredited (AAAASF) cosmetic surgery suites in Miami and Tampa.
Whether you work with the highly skilled and experienced doctors at PREMIERE, please make sure you have your breast reduction at a fully accredited facility and performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon.

How Much Does Breast Reduction Cost?
Like all plastic surgeries, the price of breast reduction will depend on your individual case. The best way to determine what a breast reduction in Miami or Tampa Bay would cost you is to visit with PREMIERE's staff to discuss your options, including affordable financing plans.
Is a Breast Reduction Right for Me?
Women who come into our Miami and Tampa Bay offices for a breast reduction are trying to achieve a bust line that is more proportional to their bodies. They are also looking to alleviate the discomfort that often accompanies larger breasts. You may be a good candidate for breast reduction if:
- You are bothered by the feeling that your breasts are too large.
- Your breasts limit your physical activity.
- You experience back, neck and shoulder pain caused by the weight of your breasts.
- You have regular indentations from bra straps that support heavy, pendulous breasts.
- You have skin irritation beneath the breast crease.
- Your breasts hang low and have stretched skin.
- Your nipples rest below the breast crease when your breasts are unsupported.
- You have enlarged areolas caused by stretched skin.
What Can I Expect After a Breast Reduction?
Once your breast reduction is completed, it is common to be swollen and bruised. You will more than likely wear a compression garment to minimize swelling and promote healing. As an integral part of your breast reduction recovery, you will attend a series of follow-up appointments at either our Miami or Tampa Bay facility.
To better manage scarring, PREMIERE will start you on a revolutionary product called Kelo-coteĀ®. Kelo-cote® is an advanced formula scar gel that relieves itching and discomfort associated with scars, softens and flattens raised scars and reduces redness. The board-certified cosmetic surgeons at PREMIERE do their best to minimize scarring. Depending on your individual anatomy, however, scarring is different from patient to patient.
Our patients typically return to work and/or light activity within one week. But it may take several weeks before you can begin strenuous exercise. Each woman's anatomy is different, and your results may vary.
