From Nurse to Anesthesia Provider to PREMIERE Founder

Valerie McAllister, CRNA

Early Career

Valerie’s compassionate and caring personality first drew her to nursing, and she spent years working as a registered nurse in ICUs and hospital operating rooms.

It was here that Valerie was first exposed to CRNAs (nurse anesthetists). Prioritizing patient safety with anesthesiology resonated with Valerie, and she began her anesthesia training program in New Orleans.

Once her training was completed, Valerie went to work in private practice in Louisiana. Eventually, she relocated to the Miami area and began working at Jackson Memorial.

It was while she was at Jackson Memorial that she was first introduced to office-based aesthetic plastic surgery. This experience opened up a new world for her, and she soon began providing anesthesia services, including IV sedation and general anesthesia, for plastic surgeons in the South Florida area.

A Trailblazer in the Industry

As Valerie’s success expanded, she saw the need to bring in other anesthesia providers. She created SOUTHERN ANESTHESIA SERVICES, Inc. to provide anesthesia to outpatient surgical centers, hospitals, plastic surgeons, and plastic surgery practices/clinics in South Florida.

This was a revolutionary and cutting-edge concept at the time, and she and her team grew to be one of the largest contract anesthesia services in the area.

This work exposed her to many different plastic surgeons, practices, and philosophies and allowed her to see the good and bad in the industry, which eventually inspired her to create a plastic surgery experience that prioritized patient safety and affordability and opened up plastic surgery procedures to patients who may not have been able to consider it before.

A New Approach for a Patient-Centric Plastic Surgery Center

In her career experience, Valerie McAllister saw two types of practices. The first type included practices led by board-certified plastic surgeons, practices that offered safe and successful results. The other was “cut-for-fun.” These practices offered plastic surgery at discount prices, but they didn’t prioritize patient health or safety.

Seeking an alternative to the “cut-for-fun” practices she came across, Valerie McAllister founded PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery. With this model, she wanted to prioritize patient care and safety while still offering quality plastic surgery at an affordable price.

At PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery, Valerie is honored to bring together board-certified plastic surgeons with at least 10 years of experience to ensure that your plastic surgery journey is comfortable, safe, and rewarding at a reasonable cost.

Offering breast, face, and body plastic surgery procedures as well as non-surgical treatments like injectables, cellulite reduction, non-surgical body contouring (CoolSculpting®), and laser/light treatments, PREMIERE Center is your all-inclusive stop for aesthetic services.
