As you age, your skin loses collagen, an important component to healthy skin. With Radiesse® injections, you can instantly improve the structure of your skin by providing a “scaffold” onto which new collagen can form.
How is Radiesse® Administered?
The Radiesse® process takes only about 15 minutes. First, lidocaine or a cream is used to numb the skin, making this procedure virtually painless. Once your Radiesse® expert has identified the injection points, a small needle is used to infuse the solution under the dermis layer of your skin. Several injections are typically needed, depending on the size of the treatment area. Radiesse® can also be used in conjunction with BOTOX® or plastic surgery, such as face lift, brow lift and eyelid surgery.
The essential ingredient in Radiesse® is its microspheres of calcium hydroxylapatite, a mineral-like compound that is found naturally in human bones. These calcium-based spheres are suspended in a gel that is injected into targeted sites on your face. The unique Radiesse® formula stimulates the production of new collagen (also known as collagenesis) that fills in the area around each sphere. Gradually, the skin becomes firmer and smoother as its structure is improved. Replenishing this lost volume is the ideal way to achieve wrinkle reduction and smooth out the signs of aging.

Is Radiesse® Right for Me?
Most adults in good overall health are able to undergo this wrinkle treatment. The majority of the Radiesse® patients at our Miami and Tampa Bay locations are individuals between the ages of 30 and 65 who are starting to see visible signs of aging in their face.
