The Arm Lift, or Brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to counter the effects of loose upper arm skin, most often related to weight loss. If you were ever overweight, you more than likely developed heavy upper arms. To accommodate the increased volume of the upper arms, your skin stretched. After weight loss, the skin often fails to tighten…and so it sags. The only way to improve this medical condition is through an Arm Lift. To maximize the results of an Arm Lift, the Board Certified cosmetic plastic surgeons at PREMIERE Center remove excess fat and re-drape upper arm skin resulting in a slimmer appearance to the upper arms. It is most commonly performed on men and women who have undergone large amounts of weight loss.
 
Oftentimes, Liposuction or Lipo-Sculpture may be used in conjunction with an Arm Lift to achieve maximum desired results. In this way, the cosmetic plastic surgeons at PREMIERE restore the natural relationship among the skin, muscle, and fat. An Arm Lift is typically a two to three-hour procedure, with minimal post-operative discomfort. Patients typically return to work and/or light activity within one week. Although, most patients are back to work and non-physical social activities in about a week, it may take several weeks before patients can begin strenuous exercise.
