Herbert D. Stern, M.D.Education and TrainingHerbert D. Stern, M.D., a well-trained and experienced plastic surgeon, is Medical Director for the Premiere Center for Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Stern graduated Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Queens College of the City University of New York, majoring in chemistry and biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1969 from New York University School of Medicine. He then completed his general surgery training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. During this five-year training program, Dr. Stern served as both the Senior and Chief Resident. He served until June of 1973, when he was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant Commander. At the time of his discharge, Dr. Stern received a Naval Letter of Commendation for his work in organizing and leading the hospital’s Rapid Deployment Surgical Support Team.
