PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery provides Arm Lifts to patients from Miami, Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, Fort Lauderdale and surrounding areas.
The arm lift, or brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to counter the effects of loose upper arm skin, most often related to weight loss. If you were ever overweight, you more than likely developed heavy upper arms. To accommodate the increased volume, your skin stretched. After weight loss, the skin often fails to tighten... and so it sags. The only way to improve this medical condition is through an arm lift. The medical team at PREMIERE Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Miami and Tampa Bay has performed hundreds of safe and affordable arm lift procedures for over 15 years.
How is an Arm Lift Performed?
At our locations in Miami and Tampa Bay, we find that an arm lift is most commonly performed on men and women who have lost large amounts of weight. To create a slimmer appearance to the upper arms, the surgeon removes excess fat and re-drapes the skin. A brachioplasty not only helps to rejuvenate the arms by taking away skin folds, but it also restores harmony to your overall body shape.
Oftentimes, liposuction may be used in conjunction with an arm lift to achieve maximum contour. In this way, the surgeon restores the natural relationship between the skin, muscle and fat. This technique still maintains the normal blood circulation and allows the surgeon to achieve more natural results.
An arm lift is typically a two- to three-hour procedure, with minimal post-operative discomfort. We perform it on an outpatient basis, in the privacy and comfort of our fully accredited (AAAASF) cosmetic surgery suites in Miami and Tampa.
Whether you work with the highly skilled and experienced cosmetic plastic surgeons at PREMIERE, please make sure you have your arm lift at a fully accredited facility and performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Is an Arm Lift Right for Me?
If you are an adult with lax skin on your upper arms, then you may be a good candidate for brachioplasty. You should also be healthy and at or near your ideal weight. The men and women who visit our Miami and Tampa Bay offices for an arm lift are generally looking to:
- Reduce excess sagging skin that droops downward
- Tighten and smooth the underlying supportive tissue that defines the shape of the upper arm
- Reduce localized pockets of fat in the upper arm region
What Can I Expect After an Arm Lift?
You will notice the smoother, tighter contours of your arms almost immediately. However, it make take up to a year to see the final results. Initially after the surgery, you will be swollen and experience redness at the incision sites, but these side-effects will fade.
Many of our arm lift patients in Miami and Tampa Bay return to work and/or light activity within one week. However, it may take several weeks before you can begin strenuous exercise. Each person’s anatomy is different, so your results may vary.
